APPOINTMENT PREPARATION · 3 min read

What to bring to your first visit.

You don’t have to remember everything in your first appointment. A few notes can bring together what you want to talk about.

Set your own agenda

Think about what you would like to understand by the end of the appointment. The process, your options or a next step: start with what matters to you.

Organise the documents you have

If you have previous test results or treatment summaries, note their dates. Ask your clinic which documents it needs and whether they are current. This is not a recommendation to arrange new tests.

Leave room for answers

You can ask for unfamiliar terms to be explained again. At the end, try confirming the next step in your own words.

A question to take to your appointment

“What should I clarify after this appointment, with whom and when?”
